Carlson Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Professor Justin Maroney was born in Jacksonville, AL. He began his Jiu-Jitsu training in 2007 and within 9 years he earned his Black Belt under his original Professor Samual Puccio and Carlson Gracie Jr. Justin has trained extensively with several high level black belts to include Carlson Gracie Jr., Samual Puccio, Daniel Wanderley, Rudy Jimenez, Vicente Junior, Rodrigo Medeiros, and Andre Madiz to name a few.
Justin is a Level IV Modern Army Combative Program (MAC-P) instructor and a Black Belt in the Marines Corps Martial Art Program (MCMAP). Justin was selected to compete on The All Army Combatives team at Fort Riley, KS and Fort Bragg, NC. Justin has trained over 400 Soldiers, Marines, Police Officers, and Special Agents.
Justin is an active competitor. He has competed in 32 BJJ tournaments and medaled in 25 over the past 10 years.
Justin is an Ambassador for Mission 22 (Veterans suicide awareness), member for the We Defy Foundation (Redefining disabled veterans or PTSD veterans lives through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu), and a member of Black Belts for Butterflies (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for Autism Awareness).
